Riversdale farmhouse is set in peaceful surroundings with Mulcair river flowing through this beef
farm. Riversdale is a spacious farmhouse offering accommodation for the tourist and is a perfect
base for touring throughout the South and West of Ireland.
The local area is rich in history with many interesting places to visit. The beef farm, in the
heart of the Golden Vale, extends from the river along the rolling countryside where animals can be
seen grazing in tranquillity.
The spacious rooms offer a superb level of accommodation. There is one double, one family and one
twin room available and each room is complemented by a pristine en suite and all offer stunning views
of the surrounding countryside. Tea/coffee facilities are
available in each room. There is also a comfortable lounge for guests to relax and unwind after a
days touring.

Riversdale is situated 13km from Limerick city between the N7 (Dublin road) and N24
(Waterford/Roslare road). We are located 5km from Dromkeen on the N24, also 4km from Boher on the
N24 and 9km from Annacotty on the N7.
Riversdale is convenient to Shannon Airport, Glenstal Abbey, Clare Glens, Equestrian Centre,
Pitch & Putt and the local Angling Centre. Excellent golf courses are within a 20 minutes drive.
Salmon and Trout Fishing is available within a 20 minutes drive with open season from March to
September. The Mulcair River, with easy access at a network of road bridges, is a fishery controlled
by the ESB to whom you pay a charge. A Salmon licence is required to fish the River Mulcair and
tributaries for salmon, this can be purchased locally.
Glenstal Abbey, located just 3km away, is a Benedictine monastery in County Limerick. A 500 acre
estate with streams, lakes and woodland paths, surrounds a castle built in the romantic Norman
style. The Abbey, which is dedicated to Saints Joseph and Columba, is home to a community of monks.
Prayer and liturgical celebration combine with managing a boarding school for boys, a farm, and a
guest house. The monks assemble in Church five times a day for the Divine Office and Mass.
Benedictine worship emphasises beauty and harmony, celebrating God's presence, while it evokes a
response of loving reverence in the monk.
